Squee! Jesse has added a feature to Mandelbulb 3D that lets you export data that can be converted to a 3D mesh object. This is much better than the PhotoFly hack that I came up with a few months ago.
He calls it a voxel stack - basically a series of thin slices of the fractal object. You export the images from M3D then use other apps to convert to 3d models. Here's the FractalForums thread with most of the necessary info. http://www.fractalforums.com/mandelbu...
